Eravikulam National Park - Munar:
About 16 kilometers from Munar, is home to the Nilgiri Tahra (ibex), a threatened species, mongooses Smith and 120 species of birds, and also receives the visit of elephants periodically.
Pothamedu - Munar:
One of the major centers of plantations of Munar, Pothamedu is located at a distance of 6 km from the city. From here there are good prospects for plantations of coffee, tea and cardamom. It is ideal for hiking in the mountains, rolling hills and a landscape of beauty breathtaking.
Devikulam - Munar:

Rajamala - Munar:
A valuable but little known place situated at a distance of 15 km from Munar, Rajamala is home to nearly half the population of Nigiri tahr (mountain goat a kind of rare). In fact, the region-Rajamala Eravikulam is the natural habitat of this species almost disappeared which there are only 1000 here.
CHITHIRAPURAM - Munar:
This small ski resort is steeped in an old-fashioned charm with recreation, courts, bungalows, cottages and sleepy that signal to a colonial past. Located at a distance of 10 km from Munar, there is a hydroelectric dam project in Chithirapuram.
